Just a few notes for my own sake… and for you on your own responsibility… People are great here.  Always friendly and open and always want to have a chat.  Mentality here is Mediterranean similar to Barcelona. People loves a good party; drinking and no night is quiet. English is spoken in most places and by most people.  Streets and pavements are good and cars drive with due care so you don’t get run over unless you are being daft. Taxi from airport to a beach-front hotel is around ILS 170 IN 2013 prices. It’s a good idea to ask for fixed price. In town metered is fune as taxis are regulated. Beer prices here is like any capital so ILS 20-40 depending on location.  Don’t tell me Copenhagen is expensive again –  nor that the UK is cheap.
