Transport
# Tickets
Tickets works on all modes of transport as long as the trip is within the purchased zone(s): metro; bus and Renfe.
[Link](https://www.tmb.cat/en/barcelona-fares-metro-bus) for ticket prices.
If you are in Barcelona for a week or so then best buy is the T-Casual, which is 10 trips for around €12.

If you are there for 2-4 weeks I would buy the T-usual, which is unlimited trips for a month for around €22.

To get the ticket card for the above ticket types; just go to a station with a ticket machine and buy the ticket. Fist time you pay a 1€ deposit for the card but next time you reuse it.
In most cases you only need a 1 zone card, as you can see [below](https://www.tmb.cat/en/barcelona-fares-metro-bus/zone-map):

**Notice the airport is in zone 2.**
**Best option is to take the A1 or A2 bus to the city centre for around €8.**
A1 is terminal 1 and A2 is for terminal 2. Both buses go to Placa Espana and Placa Catalonia.
# Trains
Metro (Lx) or Tram (Tx) is the best option inside zone 1. [Map](https://www.tmb.cat/en/barcelona-transport/metro-bus-map#):

[Renfe](https://www.renfe.com/es/en/suburban/rodalies-catalunya/maps) is best for longer distances beyond zone 1.

# Buses
So most useful buses start with a V or H, like I use H10 all the time. Lines without H or V are mostly local lines.
- **Horizontal Lines (H):**
These buses primarily move east-west, roughly parallel to the coastline, connecting the Llobregat and Besòs areas.
- **Vertical Lines (V):**
These lines travel north-south, perpendicular to the coast, from the sea towards the mountains.
- **Diagonal Lines (D):**
These lines traverse the city diagonally, providing additional connectivity between different areas.
